Comments Thread For: Chavez Jr. Will Not Allow His Father To Enter Camp

Former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (46-1-1, 32KOs) is holding firm on his promise to remove his father, Julio Cesar Chavez Sr., from all future training camps. During Chavez's last camp, for Sergio Martinez last September, there was tension between the two of them. Chavez suffered the first loss of his career. Last year, Chavez Jr. said there issues because his father was giving him advice that was conflicting with the instructions coming from his trainer, Freddie Roach.

know exactly how he feels.. good move on chavez jr. .... his dad was great during his time, but the drugs and the alcohol made him into a totally different person. Much respect to the family.

Hopefully helps him focus in camp, it can only go up from how bad the Martinez camp was.

How do you know, drugs and alcohol made him onto a completely different person? Do you know Chavez personally? You know exactly how he feel because what? Your father was giving you different advice from your trainer in camp? What a joke. You don't know anything bro.

Junior is pissed because Senior was zoning out with the blunt in his mouth, and that Sr wasn't doing 3 pulls and pass. #Neckingoffduringcypher

Twinkies and blunts throughout the camp...the kid is a true warrior. The Jr isn't even half the fighter his father was.
