WOW, he's just trying to safe face and keep himself on Dawson's payroll. Dawson was very hurt. he didn't even have the energy or brain power to bring up his gloves, let alone continue. He could've gotten severely hurt and probably ruined his entire career (worse than he already has), it was a good stoppage IMO.

Yup I don't know what Dawson was thinking by rehiring Eddie Muhammad. His fights started to turn lackluster in 2008 after he fired Floyd Sr and went with Eddie Muhammad, and that was no coincidence. Floyd Sr is simply the better trainer, or the right trainer for Chad.

Funny thing is during the intro before the Steveson fight, he said that EM was the best trainer out of all the trainers he has worked with, Dawson clearly doesn't know what he's doing. It's these type of bad decisions, which makes me believe he will never be back on top.
