Wilder likes to wing his shots, as opposed to throwing a straight right. They are slow, and Chisora has a pretty good guard. It could go pretty similar to the Helenius fight, though I'm not sold on Wilder's chin.

No doubt Wilder is a big puncher, but he hasn't got the same gravitiy as Derek which will take some of the power away from him, like it did with Vitali. That's why Haye was able to land successfully.
Power would always give Wilder a shot. As solid as Chisora's chin has been, the Haye fight has to have taken something from his punch resistance.

Chisora might just be too far a step up for Wilder however, he should secure a fight with a David Price-level opponent first imo (i.e. better than Audley but not as good as Chisora).

What's the phrase...."there are levels to this ish"

Both good points. Wilder's power is probably legit, but still unproven. Scott did note on that interview that Wilder knocked him down in sparring as well, so he's mixed it with some good people in sparring like Haye, Wlad and Scott.

I just think Wilder needs more technique behind his shots before he could KO someone as big and solid as Chisora. But of course, with KO power in both hands he has a big chance of KOing anyone. I'm just not sold, but his next fight will show a lot and imo is that step-up fight you are talking about as in between Audley and Chisora level. I know he's lost a few fights etc, but he's mixed it with some pretty decent boxers. Let's see if Wilder does a job on him, then we can really measure how good he is.

Chisora is excited to return to the ring on the big Copper Box Arena show. He said, "I'm back in business and ready for whatever comes my way from Frank. Whoever he puts in front of me I'm destroying, just like Scott, they're going down. This is the new Dereck Chisora back on the road to winning the world heavyweight title. Kubrat for the European title would be nice and he's going to get knocked out or bring me another unbeaten Yank to spank in Deontay Wilder. It's all about keeping busy and building on each win so roll on September 21st for the grand opening of the Copper Box Arena and I'll be making sure that the Box Rocks when I'm in action!"

Wilder's best shot = overhand right over the guard.

If he lets Chisora bully him inside, it could be all bad for Wilder.

I definitely favor Chisora in this matchup. He's got a great chin, he took Vitali's best shots, he took Haye's best shots, got knocked out in that fight but he took huge punches. But more importantly he's battle tested and he has an inside game that Wilder has never seen before.

I think Wilder is a gimmick at this point.
