What I saw is Mickey Bey had the Floyd posture in spots, but then lost focus and a punch bounced off of his face.

Broner I've observed the same thing. If he's focused his defense is decent, if not a bit rigid... but he has a tendency to showboat, and take breaks from focusing in other ways... Then he gets hit...

Broner doesn't have the mindset for Floyd's style and its going to catch up with him... in his very next fight if he actually fights Maidana. You can't have no mental lapses against a guy like that. Especially with how on fire he has been of late.

That's what makes Mayweather special.. in the ring, he doesn't HAVE mental lapses...

    Broner.. and Mickey Bey... do.
That didn't happen when he was expected to have a tough outing against DeMarco, and showboating against Rees, Malignaggi who don't pose a threat is a lot different than understanding what you have in front of you in Maidana.

Again, Bey was afraid to sit in the pocket against an average fighter, that right there says it all when you bring up that comparison...

Broner by mid to late round stoppage...

Maidana's a tough dude but I think Broner will hurt him late...Maidana can crack too but we'll see if he can hurt Broner who smothers a lot of shots on the inside...Maidana isn't a one punch KO-artist so I think he would have to wear Broner down which I don't see happening...although Broner will be getting hit by a true 147 pounder for the first time as well...but I think it will look a bit similar to the DeMarco fight (not as one sided throughout tho)...Broner breaks him down around Round 7-8 and starts punishing him for a stoppage...

Ya'll better stop comparing Bey to Broner

Broner's defense is better, the jury might be out still but his chin is better, he puts his punches together better...Broner looks far more polished in the pocket...Broner would kill Mickey Bey...c'mon lol

Bey used his feet more in the fight, and actually attempted to bend at the waist... Broner stands up right, is largely stationary, and has that defensive structure. Im not saying they are the same in that regard. Where they are the same is how they try to imitate Floyd's posture and fail. Why? Its a focus problem.

Broner cannot catch every strike coming in, he doesn't have the focus and movement for it. He's gonna get hit by Maidana.... And while Broner is stronger and sturdier than Bey... Maidana is much stronger than Molina...The comparison is valid. And its also valid to say Broner will get broken in half by a guy like Chino.

It will be nothing like the Demarco fight. Demarco gets sparked out by Maidana in 1-2 rounds... big deal.

Would he? p4p h2h, Bey would attempt to stay on the outside.. what makes you think he would play into Broner's hands? It was pressure that killed Bey. Styles make fights, Broner just walks down, he's not exactly cut off the ring material. Bey would have picked at his guard from the outside all night and skated around in a boring ass fight... Broner would probably win but we saw with the Mags fight how a mover can neutralize him to a degree. Bey has an ability to move.

Broner would win. Maidana's a little slow, but he's got much more power than anyone Broner has fought. If chino lands a couple solid shots while broner is showboating, it could be nighty night. But I think broner's defense is a little better than most think, and he'll get better at 147. It would be fun to see what happens in an exchange between the two.

broner fights the same way everytime you can't plod with someone like maidana he will eat you alive. broner will definately have alot of problems early. if broner was pussay enough to respect paulies punching power. he will be covered up all night with no footwork

Really hard fight to call for 2 reasons:

Broner has speed, reflexes and defense (in spots) plus maidana is open and vulnerable, coming in off balance so you could say Broner will pick him off . Not to mention Maidana is there to be hit.

                BUT...

Broner is most comfortable walking his opponents down and doen't have the footwork that allows him to take full advantage of his style, plus he gets hit a decent amount. Maidana has power, and if Broner can't use his footwork with Maidanas power it could be trouble. Not to mention Maidana won't be walked down by Broner unless Broner hurts him first... but his power didn't look great at 147.

Tough to say... i'd prob lean towards broner winning unfortunately but who knows
