Comments Thread For: Frank Warren: Chisora Will Return on 9/21, With Big Name

Britain's Dereck Chisora claimed the vacant WBO international heavyweight title with a bizarre sixth-round stoppage of previously unbeaten American Malik Scott at Wembley Arena on Saturday night.

The 29-year-old from Finchley (17-4, 11 KOs) was on the front foot from the start and had Scott (35-1-1, 12 KOs) nursing swelling under his right eye after round one.

Philadelphia-born Scott found his feet in the following couple of rounds but was on the receiving end of some solid body-shots in round four.

Then, after a closely fought fifth round, Chisora suddenly floored Scott with a right hook in the sixth. The 32-year-old appeared able to continue, but did not get up until the referee had reached nine in his count and the contest was over. [Click Here To Read More]

A Tony Thompson fight makes the most sense at this point for Chisora imo.

This has David Price written all over it.

Surely it has to be one of these.

Yup. Plus TT had a better offer than from Hughie Fury [if you followed that thread] so this is probably it.

Chisora beats Tony Thompson and stops him. Should be a better fight than vs Scott as Tony has some pop and is less of a spoiler.

I'd like to go see a Tony Thompson vs Chisora fight. After Tony's hilarious post fight interview I think he should keep the funny stuff up. The buildup would be awesome. I'd actually fancy thompson to win as I feel Dell Boy doesn't hit hard enough but would be an entertaining scrap and pretty large implications on the world level.

I dont think David price would go near Dell Boy. To much pressure and forward movement. Price would be blowing out his ass after 3 rounds or so.

If Price is put in there with Chisora he will get mauled in a couple of rounds. Price only has a tank for 6 rounds then he's finished.

I think FW wants a more meaningful fight than Price. And no way does Maloney stick Price in with Chisora now.

                Tony Thompson makes more sense.

Doesn't pulev need a dance partner still? Fury, adamek & dimitrenko walked away from an IBF eliminator. Thompson or chisora should look towards that date.

Chisora should fight a top 10 contender next.
