The GBP/TR feud really put a damper on boxing the past few years, however it sees the HBO/Showtime feud that has emerged has caused both networks to put their best foot forward.

I've been loving the fights so far this year, feels like every weekend theres a good card to look forward to. Great stuff

The best thing that happen to boxing in 2013 is the beef between GBP and HBO and Showtime with TR.

Now both networks have to give us fans the best fights possible all Showtime needs is GBP because they have the best stable and GBP is willing to work with other promoters.

HBO works with Top Rank which we got fights like Salido vs Garcia or Rigondeaux vs Donaire and Rios vs Rado 2. Plus HBO works with other promoters which we got GGG and the Kessler vs Froch fights.

So both networks are trying to give us the best 50/50 fights that we want to see. A couple of years ago the promoters ran the networks and us fans got fights we didn't care for. This year has been the best year in boxing in years.

TBA will be busy with Gary Russell. Doubt he'll have time for Golovkin.

It's definitely been the best year since I've been on this site.
