    Well said.

I see no reason so much stock should be put into how fighters look against different opponents with totally different styles Lundy's win has no real bearing on the quality of Matty Ice as a fighter.

. And to me his win against Khan is better then Lucas’ win against Peterson.
Should damn well hope so considering it was a renewed Zab Judah three years earlier at the start of what will now be his last title run fighting against Matthyse.

Could have fooled me. Garcia himself said it was his toughest fight so far, and he was on the verge of being badly hurt in the last rounds.

The Judah/Matthyse fight was much closer, but Zab hurt Garcia worse, looked like he could have possibly come on and won the fight had he started earlier and Garcia looked more vulnerable and flawed at that point against Zab than Matthyse ever did in their fight, and it was a much more faded Zab at that against Garcia.

It really doesn't say much either way.

Yea but Garcia in my opinion fought a much better Zab mentally. Zab was coming off a beautiful all around performance against a decent prospect in Vernon Paris, and most people would say that the Garcia fight was Zabs best performance in years. Because he was actually letting his hands go.

Matthysse Zab was the same gun shy Zab that Cotto fought, except worse. Once Matthysse picked up the pressure and started cutting off the ring more effectively Zab went into his run hold don’t get hit usual tactics with out throwing shots.

I can care less about age, Garcia fought the better Zab in my opinion.

Wait until Lucas feels real power.

Danny Garcia September 14th will end the hype!!!
Dude, he was undefeated and avoided when he fought Matthysse. Lundy is actually very good, he just doesn't take training seriously all the time. He looked in better shape than I have seen him in previous fights the other night and his style is kind of like James Toney's. His only stoppage was to Molina who stopped Mickey Bey the other night as well.

I don't see too many guys beating Ajose at 140, none knocking him out besides Matthysse.

All I can say is that Matthysse has faced the tougher comp between the two (he and Garcia) and he has two, very questionable, SD losses. Garcia was about three punches away from going down against Judah in his last fight and his best win was against a guy that had already been KO'd against the same "C-level" competition that you are saying Ajose lost to in Prescott.

Speaking of power.......Garcia is facing a guy with a KO% of almost 95% and he doesn't have the same mentality or style that Judah or Alexander had, they avoid contact and hold when in close. Garcia is a ****er, his style is going to make him more susceptible to big punches than Judah and Alexander were.

I have already state Lundy is a good fighter, but his losses to underwhelming opponents puts him where he is, a C+ fighter. Before his loss to Molina he had already be dropped a couple of times to bums, then loses to Molina then to Beltran and had close fights with guys he shouldn’t have.

People love to bring up the now that Khan is a bum, but yet he was a considerable favorite to win that fight. Also I think Garcia’s first win against Morales is a just as good as Matthysse’s win against Soto. People forget that old Morales fought a tough close fight with Maidana and had him on ***** street, yet, a fact that most of the Argentinean fans seem to forget.

Matthysse looked slow and unable to cut off the ring is most of the Judah fight, the same Judah who only through his few jabs and that one quick uppercut ever 3 rounds. Matthysse won that fight but i had him winning by 1 or 2 rounds if I remember.

So what if Garcia got hurt against Judah, what fighter hasn’t been hurt? he weathered the storm and won the fight. Matthysse was slightly hurt against overmatched Soto as well.

And just because Matthysse has a lot of power, doesn’t mean he has an awesome chin, people forget that. Matthysse can definitely be hurt in this fight just as much as Garcia.

I suppose we'll just have to wait until the 14th to find out. Are you trying to make any bets on this fight by chance?

I think Matt's is the real deal..I do however remember loads of people hyping Ajose up big time..Saying he would be a top 5 fighter if giving the chance..I never thought much of him,I still feel he's tough and a pretty serviceable fighter..Let some on this site tell it tho, you'd thought he was Arron Pryor re-born..

Lucas's chin has NEVER been tested by someone with Danny's power, nor has he been tagged with 5 punch combo's to the chin from someone like Khan. His chin cannot magically be much better than Walter's; they are cut from the exact same cloth..
