Comments Thread For: Arum: Pacquiao Has His Hands Full With Brandon Rios

Top Rank promoter Bob Arum minced no words when he lashed out at those talking about a possible fight between eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao and undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Arum said “to talk about other fights is idiotic when Manny has his hands full” against Brandon Bam Bam Rios in Macau on November 23.

Arum told the BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard the Rios fight is “the order of business. It’s a very important fight for Manny and its not an easy fight.”

Rios' has to go for the early knockout before he tires out in the late rounds.

their stamina should be equal if not in rios' favor

pacquiao hasn't been the 12 round machine since before he moved to welter

Manny has his hands full? More like Manny will have his hands full of Rios blood. Bob making it sound like Rios is suppose to be some sort of serious threat to Manny.

I guess, you have to sell it somehow.

I think so. Rios is a tough dude and Pacman will be entering the ring nursing a brutal ko.

This statement shows just how far Manny has fell. A win or Brandon Rios did nothing for Mike Alvarado. It will do nothing for Pacquiao.

Arum is just trying to hype things up..This fight was picked to put Pac back on the seen cause even thou Rios is tough & puts it all out in the ring, there no doubt that his come forward, no defense style is made to perfection so that Pacquiao could easily tee off & break him apart & that will make Pacquiao look good.. Pacquiao will be too quick for Rios & Pacquiao will give him a pounding as the fight goes on just like he did against Margarito(who's bigger than Rios) & Pac will win by either late round stoppage or a lopsided UD..

Pac does NOT need to KO Rios. He needs a decent win and a rematch with the winner of JMM vs. Bradley. If he loses to Rios, he's finished! "IF" he gets another shot at JMM, "THEN" he will need a KO.

rios is going to try and bully and swarm pac for however long the fight lasts...hopefully pac doesn't come back completely shot.

rios is tailor made for pac..but if pac loses or gets knocked out again then i think he should consider retiring...
