I read Mayweather was pushing hard to this fight to be made as the co main event. No doubt Garcia rather fight another old washed up fighter, but he knows his career would be over if he ducked Lucas.

What the f***k did Garcia ever personally do to get the hate he gets? I don't get it.

He jumped the line and got a shot at the title against Grandpa Morales, when the mandatory was long overdue due to his connections (Haymon). Matthyse was supposed to fight Morales for the title in Morales' fight before Garcia, with the winner supposedly HAVING to fight Olusegun next, but Matthyse got injured.

Usually a fight is just rescheduled if a guy gets hurt, but instead the WBC inexplicably let Morales fight for the title against a nobody (Cano), and once Garcia got it, no effort was made to fight Matthyse, who had won the interim belt when he and Olusegun had fought each other.

Fans didn't like that. Add Angel Garcia to the mix talking **** all the time, and the fact that Matthyse was being ignored made people pretty heated. Garcia is taking heat for the entire situation (Haymon, the WBC, Morales' rematch clause, fighting Zab Judah), which is kind of unfair.

But after the September card, everyone gets to shut the **** up one way or another, kind of like Martinez-Chavez.
