Undefeated featherweight Jun Doliguez (16-0-1, 12 KO’s) is ready to make his debut under Zanfer Promotions hreaded by Fernando Beltran when he faces Ruben Tamayo (22-4-3, 16 KO's) in Merida, Mexico later tonight.
Tamayo is a replacement for WBO Intercontinental featherweight champion Jose “Negro” Ramirez who is ranked No. 7 by the WBO and has a record of 25-3 with 15 knockouts.
Doliguez’ manager Elmer Anuran told the Manila Standard that Doliguez who is ranked No. 9 had trained for a short time at the Wild Card Gym of Freddie Roach in Los Angeles and was just two pounds over the limit two days before the Tamayo showdown.
