But serious question. ..The only things I give swift is his power and heart, I honestly think he has a champions heart and mentality but he just doesn't win me over. Do you think switching trainers can make him a complete boxer? To me, that's what's really holding him back, the lack of a very good skill set.
Not a fan of the guy...

True, but I wonder if he can get taken to the "next level" if he goes with a different trainer. I mean, his punches look horrific at times. I think its in the form that he throws them. I think a different trainer can show him different things and improve him a bit.Originally posted by Nelson MuntzThought I was walking into one of those 'Not a fan of the guy, but seriously he's the best and I'm in love with him' threads.
Swift DOES have skills. His skill is in timing his counters. As soon as he feels the right hand land on his gloves he'll shoot his left. Soon as the left lands he'll come over top with the right. He's really good at timing his shots. Not saying that that's all that's needed but it's one form of a skill. -
Swift is a beast, and no, I don't think he'd improve with another trainer. You gotta go with who brought you to the dance.
Always been a Swift fan, but NSB makes it hard to root for both Lucas and Danny, so I gotta go with my man Lucas.Comment

Good power on both hands, devastating power in his left hook, not the fastest most athletically gifted fighter but he compensates with good timing and patience. A good counter puncher who commits to his punches...I don't think people appreciate him enough, maybe it's his father I don't know but there is no reason to hate the guy.Comment

His image is that of a girlie boy. And his father doesn't help. Seems to let his father do his talking. Not good. So far, he's not doing much wrong in the ring. It's unfortunate he has to face the hottest guy in boxing right now. But if he wins...sky's the limit! Of course there is the little matter of getting seriously hurt!Comment

I admit, he is a pretty good boxer but his dad did kind of ruin it for me after a while. Danny should be doing his own talking, not his loudmouthed father.Good power on both hands, devastating power in his left hook, not the fastest most athletically gifted fighter but he compensates with good timing and patience. Yea, his father did kind of ruin him for everyone. Not to say that you should take that into consideration but it does turn people off. In Philly he doesn't really have a strong fan base. But yet boxing is not that big a sport over here. Getting back to tje subject, he has his own skill set but I seriously doubt that he is going to have a long ca reer due to his flaws.Comment
