Just watched two prime Roy Jones fights

Good lord, this man was fast in his day. Blistering hand-speed and combination punching. No way the current crop would hang with Jones. Its absolutely scandalous Jones is still fighting man. When you look at his record now, it looks mediocre. When really Jones was almost unbeatable in his prime.

Glad your all caught up with the rest of the site! Reading recodes give you an indication of longevity and durability but if you don't knowthe names on it you can't judge its value! Theres lwys a few trail hrses with what looks to bad records who could actually box their azzes off! So if a young KO artist can't get some guy you never heard of out of there and he's 25/19/6 and he was stopped 3 times put on cuts than you'd know theyoung puncher did a great job!!!! Wins and looses have been distorted since guys like Calzaghe and Mayweather came along!! You saw what happened to Hatton as soon as he stepped up, and undefeated Donaire was in above his skills with Rigo!
To much time spend on records when the career is still active!!!

..............and yes Roy was a fast handed young fellow with more than enough talent! Ray

Did anyone expect Roy to be that guy, the guy that wouldn't know when to let the sport go?

                  here's the illusion....

                  u always look quicker against

                  1. slower fighters (handspeed)
                  2. fighters who move in straight lines (footspeed)

I almost stopped watching boxing after Roy got knocked out. Took me a couple of years before I was really into it again.
