Roach and Cotto to start camp on aug 1st

Looks like Aug 1st is the first day Cotto works with Roach.

I think its a good move on Cotto's part to finish out his career with Freddie. I think Freddie will lite a fire in him. Here to Martinez-Cotto in 2014. Very interested to see how Roach improved miguel in this next fight.

So it's gonna be the Marquez-Bradley winner or Sergio Martinez. Hopefully this camp goes well, he should shine against Rodriguez, a good but pretty average fighter.

I agree. Pedro Diaz is a better fit for Cotto than Roach as far as what they teach and emphasize. This move is to sell a new and "improved" Cotto. I think once Cotto beats Rodriguez, he will call out big names and will be marketed as a threat because Roach has him back to his old ways. It will all be smoke and mirrors though because he will still be solid but past prime. I just hope he can get back down to 147 because he stands a better chance there.

Good for Miguel. Aug 1st? When is the fight? First week of Oct? Hummmm...that's only about 9 week camp?

I dont think this combo is going to work out to well Cotto and Roach have seen their best days already.
