I believe that he can sue under Section 1332 of Title 28 of the United States Code, if the amount is more than $75,000.Comment

The police refused to accept the charges as I recall from the Boxing scene report at the time. And this report say the same thing, so you shouldn't have to ask the question.......Comment

Canelo is a thug, doesn't look like his parents raised him right.
It's sad that Solis has to try to get justice in another country because Mexico is so corrupt. Thank God that I live in the good ol' USA.

Canelo ruined his career. He broke his jaw, which resulted in him getting stripped and then being out for 15 months. So many tough guys here, oh just get over it. What if someone assaulted you and you couldnt work for 15 months?Comment

Nelo attacked a junior flyweight in the street?!?Former junior flyweight champion Ulises "Archie" Solis has now taken his legal battle with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez to the United States. Solis hired attorney Stephen Lawrence, based in Miami, and the lawyer filed a lawsuit on behalf of Solis in the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles. Solis is suing for injuries and financial damages stemming from a 2011 altercation with Alvarez.
As BoxingScene.com heavily documented, Solis alleges that Canelo attacked him on October 25, 2011 on the street in Guadalajara. The details have never fully been discussed, but Solis claims that Canelo confronted him with allegations that Solis was dating his ex-girlfriend. Solis denies that he was dating Canelo's ex.
During the attack, Solis suffered a broken jaw and lost several teeth. The injuries placed Solis on the shelf for a long time and he required multiple surgeries on his jaw.
