Welterweight Chris Van Heerden has it pretty good thus far in his professional career.

He holds a title belt, has lost only once in his career, and is admired and respected in his homeland of South Africa.

Van Heerden could continue to fight in familiar surroundings in front of family and friends. However, despite the familiar amenities Van Heerden has available to him, a change has to be made, especially if Van Heerden wants to continue towards a path to greatness.

Smart move going to the states. You can only make money in the emperors palace for so long.
Also his IBO trinket could make people want to fight him in the States

The problem with Chris he has been so inactive and has not progressed as a fighter, at the age of 26 he is probably at now where he should of been at 23 and has alot of catching up to do, whether he can remains to be seen, I hope he has not missed the boat.
