"Broner? Eww...gross!" is what you call contributing? I'm not sure I can "contribute" like that.
Anyway, Floyd doesn't have a successor, just like Sugar Ray Robinson didn't have a successor. Mike Tyson didn't have one, Ali, Roy Jones, Julian Jackson didn't, Thomas Hearns, etc. Boxing is a sport of individuals and the variations of iconoclasts and unique human beings is endless. We don't need anyone to be another Floyd Mayweather.Comment

I doubt it. Ward just doesn't have that "it" factor. Floyd did a hell of a job marketing himself, plus his skills are unmatched....Ward has the personality of a pavement.
I like Ward but I don't see how he could have been the one. Besides us hardcore boxing fans not many people know him.Comment

Floyd didn't turn heel til later...both have styles that the casuals dont necessarily embrace, both have that '0'

Did you make this thread to mock mine? I was being serious and wasn't trolling, I think it's a legitamate question and it's not the same thing for Floyd, he didn't "bring" boxing to his country per se, he is just another american boxer.Comment

He wouldn't need to do something like that to turn heel. All he would have to do is duck Golovkin in a year, claim the fight doesn't make sense, and instead beat an Andre Dirrell coming off a 2 year layoff in the most boring way possible.
Boom, heel status achieved.Comment
