Comments Thread For: Shane Mosley on Adrien Broner and His Welterweight Move

Former three division champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley (47-8-1, 39KOs) spoke to BoxingScene.com about Adrien Broner's arrival to the welterweight division. Broner (27-0, 22KOs) jumped from lightweight to welterweight last month and won a twelve round split decision to capture the WBA championship.

After a one year layoff, Mosley returned to action in May and won a twelve round decision over Pablo Cesar Cano in Cancun, Mexico. Mosley is eager to get another shot at the welterweight crown and likes his chances against Broner.

BoxingScene.com: Thoughts on Broner's welterweight debut.

Mosley: I think Adrien Broner did pretty good. It was his first fight at welterweight moving up. You could see that he wasn't a full-fledged welterweight yet. For what he had, he did well. I think 140 would be a possibly good weight to go down to because that's more of his size, but I think he did some pretty good things with Paulie. He landed some nice clean shots with him. I thought he did pretty good at welterweight considering. [Click Here To Read More]

Mosely looking for a Broner shaped pay check.

I think at this point my money would be on Shane.

Always did like Shane, would like to see a Shane vs Broner fight though..Shane may not be as fast anymore but he's still got pop in those hands..ask Mayweather.

Shane seems like a cool dude. I actually would slightly favor Sugar if him and Broner fought.

I agree Mosley will beat the broner that fought Malinaggi, however i do feel that's not the real Broner, i feel he wasn't using foot work on purpose because he felt he didn't need to.

Mosley Still Has Speed & Power; He KO's Broner & Still Has Power To KO Mayweather

Mosley team made a very bad move the night of his fight with Pacquiao, putting him in a new pair of Boxing shoes, never worn, never broke in, and shredded his feet, riddled with blisters. Broner will never fight Mosley even at 41 years old. Paulie Mags knew better too. And Shane's accessment of Broner as a Welterwiehgt could not have been more accurate. He (Broner)won't handle Maidana's punching power and Marcos will make him fight, and Paulie Mags as I said all along, was hand picked for what Shane describes... Paulie hits like a lightweight and a nice choice to go collect a belt and not get hurt. No credibility there from Broner. Mayweather has done the same thing his entire career.... while Mosley was finding challenges much larger than him in Hall of Famers Winky Wright (2x) and Vernon Forrest (2x), fought Oscar (2x) to boot. That's hardcore there.... more than I can say for Broner and Floyd.

I'd piss myself laughing if Mosley caught him, and put him on ice.
