Regardless of what you think of the verdict, those Zimmerman signatures are tasteless, the trial was not a ****ing sporting event. SMH

Let's take your side of the story. Let's believe George and say that Trayvon took their exchange of words too far. Would you be fearing for your life if Zimmerman confronted you or would you be calm, cool and collective? There is a difference between words and violence and according to all reports, evidence, TM is the one who took it past an exchange of words and became violent. If you have proof of the opposite, you better your A$$ down to the court and present it to reopen the case.Comment

I would say to GZ "Is there something I can help you with, are you looking for someone?". He would explain that there have been a string of crimes in the area and he is keeping watch. Instead, Trayvon was agitated, thought he was being selected out, then played the badass, confronted him, hit him in the face and then pounded his head into the pavement. He let the best of his emotions get to him and paid the dearest price you can pay for a very bad decision.Last edited by LightningRT; 07-17-2013, 09:37 PM.Comment

Thanks. That's all that I needed to know. Forget that we had this conversation. A 17 year old kid is dead, and you think that Zimmerman was justified in killing him, and I don't. The case is over, Zimmerman got justice, and we can move on. I'm done with this thread. It was real.Comment

Here is the account of what happened. Zimmerman: "I was on my way to the grocery store when I saw a male approximately 5' 11" to 6' 2" casually looking into homes." I left my vehicle to look for a street sign so that he could give police the location. In a phone conversation with a police dispatcher, he was told "not to follow the suspect and that an officer was in route." As I headed back to my vehicle, the suspect emerged from the darkness and said 'you got a problem' [?] I said 'No.' The suspect said 'you do now." As I was trying to phone 911 again, "the suspect punched me in the face." I was knocked to the ground, Zimmerman says, and a struggle began. At one point, he writes that the suspect said "you gonna die tonight [expletive]. "Trayvon tried to get to my gun", Zimmerman writes. "In fear for my life," Zimmerman says, he "fired one shot." He adds that Trayvon said, "you got me."Comment

He was justified in defending himself when the "kid" reached for his gun and told him "you gonna die tonight."Last edited by LightningRT; 07-17-2013, 09:54 PM.Comment

You are a special breed of idiot. Zimmerman followed him then came up to him and asked him what he's doing there...on top of that, he's Latino. And it was night time. Do you know that in some areas of this country that, a Hispanic or Black asking you "Why are you here?" can easily lead to being beaten or killed due to gangs? Zimmerman CLEARLY provoked the situation by thinking he was a cop when he should have kept his punk a.ss in the car.Comment

I can guarantee you wouldn't, particularly if he was questioning you in an aggressive manner and you had been followed. This guy could be anyone, being friendly when he isn't is not going to be top of your agenda.
I've been in this situation, and I'm not a particularly quick-tempered person.Comment

I can ***ing guarantee you I would because that is what happened to me one year ago!! And that is exactly what I did!! And who said I was being friendly??? Let me restate it for internet purposes using CAPS. I said "IS THERE SOMETHING I CAN HELP YOU WITH?!!" YOU LOOKING FOR SOMEONE??!! That is what I said to the guy! He explained himself and that was it. I walked the other way.Last edited by LightningRT; 07-17-2013, 10:35 PM.Comment
