Comments Thread For: Mayweather Says Espinoza The Perfect Piece Against HBO

Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26KOs) says the best move that Showtime ever did was hire Stephen Espinoza to run their sports programming. Espinoza replaced the departing Ken Hershman, who left Showtime to run HBO's sports division. Mayweather made his Showtime debut in May with a twelve round decision over Robert Guerrero. He returns on September 14th against Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-0-1, 30KOs).

If someone was handing me $31m twice a year I'd say nice things about them too.

Or they'll say that Floyd copied Pac because he went to Showtime first.

They may as well change the the programming name to Golden Boy Boxing channel. Even before HBO pulled the plug on GBP Espinoza had effectively made SHO a Golden Boy exclusive network. The hiring of Espinoza was/is a total conflict of interest for boxing as a whole and that's one reason HBO dumped them for using SHO as leverage on fights. We'll see how they fare once Floyd has retired and they lose their money maker.

HBO does really suck now.. the only good fighters they have now are Marquez and Bradley. They don't want to aire thier prodigy Rigondeaux... so Goldenboy should pick him up so he can get his ass kicked against Mares.

Enjoy that HBO subscription.....I will watch the channel where the best fighters are,and at the moment that is showtime. I don't care how much they win or lose off of Floyd as long as there are great fights...atm what is hbo having??? Whatever SHO lost with Guerrero, they will at least break even with Floyd's next few fights...btw-is your boy even relevant anymore??? lmao@ taking a fight with Rios-what a joke!!!!
