Vanes is unpromotable which is one of the reasons why he is on the undercard. He is a fighter that 1) could be very marketable if he picks up one or two signature wins but 2) isn't nearly at the point where people would pay to see him in a main event or co-feature. He makes a lot of sense for a Pacquiao undercard because if he's entertaining and scores a big win then a lot of people will see it and remember him, and if he's not then it's fine because Pacquiao is up next.

I don't know why people are saying this is a ****ty PPV. I've seen Brandon Rios fight three times live (Antillon, both Alvarado fights) and they were all barn-burners. If his fight with Pacquiao is even half as good (and why wouldn't it be?) then my PPV money will have been very well spent.

Vanes has a meaningless undefeated record. All he did was fight fringe contenders and stood by his "0" with Freddy waiting for his shot.

The fight against Lara was a step in the right direction but the ending with no rematch didn't further his cause

Because the card doesn't look that good.
Andrade vs Vanes could be good, but Boo Boo bear will probably win.
Next, we don't know who else will be on it, but most likely Shiming taking air time as well. Hopefuly Bob realizes we don't want to watch him and limits him to a non US televised position and only for Chinese viewers.
Also, Zhong will most likely be rematcing Cuello... So I expect that to be somewhere on the card as well

Rigo has been on 2 PAC undercards and co-headlined a fight in RCMH where only RJJ has fought before, so don't act like he hasn't gotten his chances.

I like the idea and think it is a solid meaningful fight, I actually think their styles will mesh good as long as Vanes comes to fight but you never know.
