this is a boxing forum, but ignorance regarding margarito's hand wraps is infuriating

Everybody knows it wasnt a brick you dumba$s

What's your point here ? If somebody cheated just a little bit so it's ok ? So by this logic if somebody used little dose of steroids it's ok ?

and also bare in mind it was only found in one hand-wrap
So what ? I can put stuff in only one glove and it's ok ?!

Then Capetillo began taping Margarito’s left hand, and Richardson asked if he could physically inspect the knuckle pad. Lohuis instructed Capetillo to pass the pad to Richardson. Naazim felt it and said that it seemed unusually hard. He then handed the pad to Lohuis, who agreed that it felt stiffer than is normally the case

If it was only a pinch of salt, how come ****m was able to tell it was harder than it should only by touching it ? The facts are that nobody can prove if Margarito cheated pre-Mosley, but facts are he wasnt able to cheat post-Mosley and he looks like utter **** in these fights

to be honest, i cannot tell much from the picture. do i think it looks more solid than your standard folded gause used to cover the knuckles in a boxing match? yes. can i say for sure that it is? not at all.

chalk is a pretty ambiguous term, young alt.

you can't put chalk on your wraps either. gauze and tape. you can't even let tony nut on them.

the commission found these elements [calcium and sulfer] and deemed it worthy of a suspension. at the request of richardson they inspected and confiscated a set of wraps which they deemed illegal.

chalk is actually a type of rock. it's used to make bricks and mortar.

Yeah pretty much, the second fight was going exactly as the first except Margarito's eye didn't hold up due to the Pac damage.

Margarito in his fights after Cotto I. Can someone tell me how the outcome of these fights may suggest Margarito may have been cheating before the Mosley fight?

Mosley - Margarito claims he was dehydrated and struggled to make weight for the fight, being caught attempting to cheat had nothing to do with his loss against this confessed steroid user. He never fought at 147 again.

Garcia - Has never been knocked out. Margarito has never known as a big puncher,he's a pressure fighter.

Pacquiao - Faster and much lighter than Margarito, Pacquiao never allowed himself to be cornered or trapped around the ropes. Punched and ran.

Cotto II - Unlike the first fight Cotto used more movement and clinching to neutralize Margarito's pressure. Like the first fight Cotto started slowing down towards the late rounds, Cotto working on Margarito's vulnerable eye early stopped Margarito from being able capitalize on Cotto's obvious lack of heart and stamina.
