it had 'residue' of a 'plaster-like' substance.... that could have come off anything.... now, that was enough to validate the claim.... but truth is it wasn't a substantial amount.... an officer @ the nevada state athletic commission said the amount found on the gauze was comparable to a 'pinch of salt'....

and also bare in mind it was only found in one hand-wrap....

cotto lost against margarito.... because margarito was better, stronger, bigger....

        now stfu.
So then why didn't his punches have the same impact in the cotto rematch and why did shane destroy him?

Also why would you have any type of "plaster-like" substance in your hand wraps to begin with? Lets be real now!

It was only found in one hand wrap because he only had 1 hand wrapped idiot. And it was plaster what the hell could it come off and what kind of million dollar ppv fighter uses old gauze to wrap his hands for a huge fight. You would have to be a complete moron to believe thats normal. By the way why did margoritos power magically disappear after he was caught?

capetillo claimed that he used an old pad of gauze that he had made previously. richardson's story changed a few times. capetillo's story does not explain the calcium and sulfer found on the gauze.

here's what the pad looked like. it's tough to tell what's going on in the pic.

here's what the LA times reported:
"The Los Angeles Times obtained documents from the Department of Justice laboratory which revealed that Margarito's hand wraps containted calcium and sulfur, two of the primary elements of plaster of Paris.

The Times reports that a Department of Justice senior criminalist inspected the wrappings under stereomicroscope and X-ray flourescence spectrometer, and said calcium and sulfur were discovered.

In his report dated March 19, he said the two found elements, when mixed with oxygen - make plaster of Paris."

                  he lost against mosley.....

had a whole year out.... returned at 154.... had grown out of his natural weight....

and was drained down to 147 against pacquiao....

who beat what was left of him to a pulp....

so, he couldn't exhibit his power thereafter.
