It's been years since this incident and I'm still not really sure where I stand or what I believe. Although, if Margs was loaded he had to have known, and if he was loaded but was somehow not aware, he's still guilty. Ignorance is not an excuse.

All we can say is that he undoubtedly put a beating on Cotto. To be completely honest, even in the rematch Margs looked like he was starting to pour on before the stoppage. The real question is, would Margs have been able to stop him again if he didn't get his orbital bone broken in by Pacquiao.
