Should Amir Khan just go back with Freddie Roach and Ariza?

I think he should, he looked his best with those guys before he got caught, and in the Peterson fight he was able to take hard shots, in the Maidana fight as well he never went down and he was hurt bad.

Khan has looked so sluggish and tired in his fights with Hunter.

I mean its not like Khan is going to change he might as well just go back with Roach and just be more careful and not get over anxious, Khan basically is a poor version of Pacquiao he uses the same style but has more speed and less power, he is the only other Roach fighter besides Pacman that uses that in and out style well.

In the Garcia fight he was actually winning till he got careless and got caught.

I think Ariza's strength and conditioning definitely helped Khan but Roach just isn't the right trainer for him, going to Hunter was a good move although I don't know if Hunter is the right trainer either. A nice scenario would be to use Ariza and Hunter, though that would be very difficult to pull off.

After the Garcia fight we don't know how Khan would have handled Molina and Diaz if he'd fought with the same sort of aggression as he did with Roach - who knows if he would have beaten Diaz for sure, he could have just ended up taking more punches. Instead he fought a little smarter and it paid off in the end.

There's no helping Khan. He's a twit. Everybody now knows the formula.

Maybe put Ariza back into the equation...

Didn't look physically great against Diaz despite the 143 catchweight which should have been perfect for Khan

Not that he's ever been noted for it but his ability to take punches may have actually gotten worse, he may be broken beyond repair, don't think anyone can help him at this point...he's too stubborn.

I think Ariza did more to benefit Khan than anyone, I'm not saying Roach didn't help Khan because Khan certainly improved whilst with Roach, but when he was with Roach I noticed a big difference when Ariza was doing his strength and conditioning than to when he wasn't, he just seemed more balanced out, had stronger legs (which was what kept him up against Maidana), etc.

I think if Khan stuck with Hunter but continued to have Ariza in his team you would see a big difference. The problem is Khans chin isn't the best at world level and it makes him vulnerable, so this has to be negated with better defense (which is something hopefully Hunter can help with) and also can be supported with better strength on conditioning to help keep Khan on his feet when he is in trouble (like in the Maidana fight).

Yes he definately needs to go back to roach he got over anxious against Danny Garcia trying to ko him as fast as possible and got caught. I had a lot of respect for Virgil until I've watched how bad khan has regressed with him. I use to think roach was waaayyyy over rated but now I'm not so sure.

Not sure about Freddy Roach.. but Alex Ariza HELL YES
Ariza is very underrated for his conditioning work.. he is bloody brilliant.

I wish Khan could take a punch. He has the skills, but he cant take a decent shot.
