Olympic gold medal winner Luke Campbell (1-0, 1KO) MBE made his pro debut with a first round ****. Moments into the fight, Campbell dropped opponent Andy Harris (2-6) on his back. Harris was soon dropped for a second time in a blink of an eye. Campbell then pounded on Harris until the referee jumped in to stop the action.

Campbell won a gold medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in the bantamweight division. In April 2013 he agreed to turn professional and signed with Eddie Hearn of Matchroom.

I wasn't sure if he could punch, but both he and Anthony Ogogo have looked pretty powerful thus far in their pro careers.

Obviously a long road to go boxing-wise but he can become a star, between the Olympics and the Dancing on Ice show he's arguably already most of the way there.

Don't think Ogogo's got too much pop (the guy wasn't hurt so much as worn out) but Campbell definitely has the right ingredients in terms of star quality; big local following, white [yes, there's a bias], speed 'n' power, good-looking and media savvy. Time will tell if he's the actual goods, but you can't deny he ticks the boxes.

Ogogo's KO in the first fight was brutal, I didn't see tonight's fight (clashed with the Monaco card).
