The Floyd Mayweather that beat Corrales

That version of Floyd Mayweather was probably the best boxer in histroy.

Do you guys agree? The oldtimers will probably mention Robinson or Leonard. But ive seen their fight and skillwise they dont even come close to Mayweather.

A prime Mayweather was beautifull to watch. He had offense, defense, footwork and great counterpunching skills.

Im staying home this weekend and do a Floyd Mayweather marathon. Any fights you guys want to recommend for me to watch?

No just for the simple fact that overall corrales wasnt that good,,, At the time he was hyped by beating up smaller guys at 130.... As soon as corrales didnt have size advantage he wasnt very dominant...
Corrales being your best win is like saying jeff lacy or samuel peter was your best win
Plus floyd was still learning,,,, I think the best version of floyd was between 2004-2005

Well Floyd Mayweather was smaller than Corrales and if im not mistaken he was the underdog.

The way he beat the much bigger and stronger Corrales was amazing

That version of Floyd was not going to lose to anyone that night.

Corrales was only looking for one punch to end it all with no concern about defense.

The Hatton fight (Floyd dealing with a pressure fighter) and Judah fight (Floyd adapting to and mixing it up in a back alley ****** scrap) are most entertaining.

Floyd had a slow flatfooted opponent just plodding forward in front of him, perfect for Floyd to do what he did not to mention Floyd was something of a puncher down at those weights.

Plenty of credit to Floyd for the win because Chico was favored to win if I remember correct and it was the last time anyone was favored to beat Floyd.

corrales was always a slow plodder but he was especially drained for that fight it's well documented. his chin wasn't great but pillow punching mayweather had him down several times on small shots just like ward against dawson. you could see his body just collapsed even though his head was clear. sad really that this would be floyd's best win.
