It’s been a little more than a year since Dyah Ali Davis — the son of 1976 Olympic boxing gold medalist Howard Davis Jr. — last fought. On that night in June 2012, he suffered a loss to gritty veteran (and current titleholder) Sakio Bika.
Davis hadn’t been back since. That will change next week, though, when he appears on a card on July 19 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tulsa, Okla., according to Davis.
“Took some time off, regrouped, got my team in order and I’m ready for a successful return,” he told BoxingScene.com.
