been thinking about this fight non-stop since the steve kim tweet

honestly I think the biggest determining factor in who wins this fight, is which guy is not going to wait for his opponent to stop throwing before punching and unfortunately Matthysse seems to freeze while his opponent is throwing whereas Ruslan just DGAF

I'm starting to lean towards Ruslan

Matthysse has the far better footwork, he just needs to use it.

If he had someone like Robert Garcia as his coach I'd be confident of him using his movement well, but with his current coach he's probably more likely to stay in the pocket and that gives Ruslan a chance.

Ruslan is a poor finisher though but then again he's trying to finish against guys who run away from him, Matthysse won't do that, he'll go to war. Great fight, someone's soul has got to go.

watch that ajose fight i just posted, i think in the 8th round and 9th round you'll see what i'm talking about, lucas just stops throwing while letting ajose throw combinations, so annoying to watch him do that

a good trainer for him would be abel sanchez i think
