Tell me the truth about Don King!

Don King signs fighters and just keeps them inactive, so other promoters can't sign them.

He's probably been the worst of several unscrupulous promoters, but thankfully he has little influence nowadays.

Bob Arum and Ahmet Oner are similar to King (although their methods are somewhat different) in having little or no regard for the well-being of the boxers they ruthlessly exploit.

he was a gangster from cleveland and was in prison for killing two men before he got involved in boxing. he's been sued by over 25 former world champions for stealing their money.

Thing is, he stole from the poor to give to the rich.

Year after year, he produced amazing fight cards for us fans (the paying customer) while shamelessly ripping off and ****ing over his own fighters (employees).

He is and was and always will be a scumbag, but he was a scumbag that knew how to put on a damn good fight card.

My opinion of his shifts around from time to time, obviously. I mean, I despise him, but more sometimes than others.

Don king is too brown thats the difference

Its not because don is black that he gets the bad rep...

Unlike arum, GBP, dana white,,, Don has a decades long list of fighters he ripped off: Holmes, ali, tyson, norris, etc...

Arum, White, GBP to my knowledge have never had a fighter accuse them of not paying them the agreed upon amount... Yes they probably lowball fighters, but whatever deal they agree to, they hold up their end....

Hell floyd and oscar both hate arum yet i have never heard them say he robbed them of money..... never heard pavlik or anybody else complain about the money...

Promoters do shady things all the time, but king robbed dudes.... Thats why he has such a bad rap...
