You're exagerrating Silva's popularity and the popularity of MMA. To compare Siva and MMA to Montana and the NFL isn't a good example. Not to mention Tiger probably the most popular athlete on the planet. Not the same at all.

Joe Montana is the greatest player at his position in the most popular sport in the US. He played 4 tmes in a game that is the most watched TV show of the year evry year..

Anderson is a fighter in MMA-a niche sport in the US that is only shown on PPV and Fox and is watched primarily by young males.

How do u know Floyd dosnt follow boxing closely? Do u hang out with him daily? Or are u just going by what he is saying? The thing with u guys is u claim Floyd is very smart and studies boxing inside out yet he doesn't follow boxing that close?? It's not about how mma is not as big in popularity as football it's the fact that Anderson was the ufc champ for years, Anderson has also fought in the MGM grand for years. Floyd lives in Vegas, ur saying Floyd has never heard of his guy or seen pics or ad's of him?? Where not talking about some no name chump from ufc, Anderson was and is still one of the top guys in the ufc. It will be kinda hard to try to avoid this especially when u live in the same town these big events are held in.

You responded to my original post and didn't even read it. I said he may recognize his face but may not be able to put a name with the face. And this is about MMA vs other large sports. Stars in the more popular sports are more popular than stars in sports not as big.
