The silver flyweight world champion of the World Boxing Council (WBC), Panama's Luis 'El Nica' Concepcion (28-3, 21KOs), is walking around heavy. With less than one month to go, Concepcion is 14 pounds above the agreed upon weight of 112 pounds for his August 3rd fight with Daniel Nestor Narvaez of Argentina at the Arena Roberto Duran. Concepcion recently left the gym and he weighed 126 pounds, which raised some concerns as to whether or not he will struggle to drop weight in a safe manner for Narvaez (19-1-2, 9 KOs). Narvaez is the younger brother of Omar Narvaez, the WBO's world champion at super flyweight.
