He deserved to be World Champion at least once though, it's a crying shame Peterson has that belt.

Even before the match he said we wanted to fight just a couple more years. He'll go back to Argentina to his same life, his daughter, his training. I hope he gets a couple more good fights before going into th wild to hunt iguanas, do tatoos and that sort of thing.

I don't see why a dude like Lucas - who most people thought was an unstoppable force just a month ago - should retire. He'd still destroy 90% of guys. Danny had his number tonight though. Did the perfect thing in getting his respect early.

I don't think he has to either but he's a quiet guy who spoke of retirement after losing to Alexander/Judah.

Let's put it this way, Garcia fought as good as I expected him to fight, Matthysse didn't.

Matts wasn't overrated, he earned his spot. Two guys for the #1 spot, somebody had to lose. At least both guys put up a good effort which is all I can really ask for.
