The way people talk you would think that Lucas is on his way to the HOF. I like what Lucas brings to the table, but I just think that people need to chill on the hype. He needs to prove that he's the best fighter at 140 and then go up to 147 to prove that he's the best there. If he gets past Garcia there will be some challenges for him at WW. It will be interesting to see what transpires with Lucas's career. I'm looking forward to watching him fight in the future.

Just remember just about everyone here was saying Rigo was the best at 122, not Donaire not Nishioka. But people like you came about saying he hadnt proved enough and at the end of the day what happened?

There's always a punchers chance but besides that when you compare resumes/experience, styles, weakenesses and strengths then Garcia has virtually not chance of winning.

And if you go by resume alone Matthysse IS the #1 guy at 140 not Garcia.

Umm yes you receive props for winning fights not based on fantasy. Rigo deserves to be called the best @ 122 AFTER beating Donaire. Ranking fighters based on conjecture is foolish. Whoever wins the Garcia Matthysse fight is the # 1 guy @ 140.

i think he is a solid talent, but i loathe all the hype he received when other 140lbers accomplished more than him and not get the same hype (maidana, matthysse, bradley, etc.)

I'm not really rooting for either guy. Just looking forward to a war. If I absolutely had to pick I would give a slight edge to Danny. Lucas is a damn animal & could clip Danny's chin, but I think Danny will box smart knowing that one mistake could be the only he's allowed to make. Been wrong plenty of times before so we'll see.
