Comments Thread For: Erik Morales: No Doubt, Canelo Can Beat Mayweather

Former four division world champion Erik Morales gives junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-0-1, 30KOs) a very good shot to beat Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26KOs), 36-years-old, on September 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The 22-year-old boxer is the obvious underdog, but also viewed as the toughest opponent in the last few years to fight Mayweather. Morales, who plans to retire at the end of the year, is hoping Canelo will secure the victory for Mexico.

The more I think about it, the more I believe the red head can pull it off.

He showed good feet against the ghost. I'd like to believe it but often when the size and youth cards get played it doesn't hold.

Everything Morales touched on is exactly what makes this fight intriguing.

If only Alvarez can keep the distance.
This might be the key in this fight.

I still like Floyd in this fight but unlike a lot of people I think this is a close one. For the simple fact that every time Canelo hits Floyd...Floyd will feel the punch. Elbows shoulders chest every punch will be felt and that will make for a close fight.

morales is still buzzing from that garcia left hook. its going to be alot of sad and butt hurt jealous mayweather haters september 14. floyd has seen alvareds style his entire career. alvared has'nt ever been in the ring with anybody close to what mayweather does offensively and defensively. easy work.
