    Tony Thompson v Deontay Wilder

Love to see this fight. Probably the 2 best US HW but the pre fight talking would be legendary.

TT is a riot each time he talks. Deontay entertains too.

FTR, I think DW may well stop him. Too young, too strong.

Wilder needs to get rounds in, he's never been past the 4th... I think Thompson could defeat him if he goes in there smart and in GOOD shape to handle the early onslaught Wilder will try.

I think there's a very good chance this will happen.

Golden Boy tried to make it happen in the spring after the first TT-Price fight. The Brit promoter held the rematch contact and wanted a hefty six figures to release Thompson. GBP decided it wasn't worth it and moved on, ended up with Wilder fighting Audley.

The Wilder camp still likes this matchup and may move in that direction after Wilder's fight with the White Wolf in August.

A couple of steps to far for Wilder. He'll fight his first former champ in August. Maybe 2 more fights at that level and then take on a top 10 guy like Thompson next year.

It would be a good idea for Wilder to try to make this fight. For whatever reasons, Wilder isn't taken seriously by some. A win over a guy with 2 wins over Price would surely change perceptions.

Wilder doesn't want it with Thompson. He only got into the ring with Audley because he beat him in sparring so felt safe.

He needs a few more fights that would go 9-12 rounds before he steps up to TTT.

If Wilder finishes Liakhovich within 6 rounds, bring on Thompson.
