It don't matter what point of his career he's in. Floyd is the biggest draw in boxing then pac then Cotto. Floyd vs Oscar did 2.4 mill. We know Oscar was the biggest draw but when had Oscar done 2.4 with anyone? No one bought the Guerrero one because of the weak opponent. Canelo might have alot of fans but more people will buy this ppv because of his fans combined with the people who wanna see floyd lose no matter who the opponent is.

Its more gray than black and white IMO. Canelo does have a healthy growing fan base, especially with the Mexican nationalism behind him, but lets be frank, the allure of this fight is that somebody might actually be able to challenge/beat Floyd.

All eyes are still on Floyd.

So, going back to the gray/black and white, its undeniable that Floyd is the biggest draw/cash cow. That said, canelo is a big part of the equation, in the allure/interest of the matchup. But yeah, without Floyd or cotto, canelo would have continued fighting on regular TV networks, or fighting on other peoples undercards.
