PAC should get more for obvious reasons.

1 He won in the 1st fight.
2 He's the draw of the PPV
3 Barrera doesn't sell any PPV
There are recent examples, some particularly involving Barrera, that belts take second place to reputation:

Barrera faced Fana for a belt then unified two belts by beating Peden. The interest (as reflected in PPV and gate sales), lumped together, does not compare with either one of the two Pac-Morales meetings that were fought for a belt that is a non-belt ("International" title, which makes one a "contender" for the championship title and not a champion. Anyone ever heard of a "contender belt"? It's strange but they do have one...er, many. For each division.)

When Pac won over Barrera all he took home was his paycheck (after expenses and taxes) and no belt. Barrera had earlier thrown away his WBC leather so the fight was for a non-belt. The Ring magazine came to the rescue later and gave Pac its belt, in Manila, not in the fight arena.

Here's another indicator. There's a Jr. Lightweight "WORLD" title fight in March. How many has heard about it? Jorge Barrios shall be defending his title against an opponent whose name is still to be announced (TBA). Now, how many times has anyone heard of a champion with a scheduled title defense against an unknown challenger. Just in case there are those who missed the information and there's a good chance many have, the fight is slated to be at MGM Grand. For every ten reams of newsprint spent on the Pac-Morales non-belt date, Barrios vs. TBA (who is going to be nameless even if his name is announced) for a "world" crown is lucky to have gotten half a page.

Still another. In the Zab-Baldomir fight, IBF bigwigs came to the arena, sat at ringside, expecting Judah to win. Two weeks after Baldomir won, the IBF declared Judah as still owner of its belt because Baldomir did not pay the sanctioning fee. Zab may still have IBF's belt (and similarly WBA's), but he ain't champion. Baldomir is.

      Belts, anyone?

Heya buddy! You're much too kind! Thanks just the same (I'll take it even if I don't deserve such generosity)! I'll take a San Mig too as celebration, if I may? And the oysters too! ("Talaba," is it?) Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Thanks again pal! Cheers!

tHANKS AGAIN PAL! I was told talaba is an aphrodisiac. The Cavite ones are really something! I usually get it at that place called, "Something Fishy", out at Eastwood in Quezon City, whenever I hit Metro Manila. I have a friend, the father of a movie actress in the Philippines named Vina Morales, who introduced me to both talaba and the place. Never got over both since...

Vina's father, Ike, is also boxing-batty! All we talk about when we get together is boxing!

EDIT: It seems the talaba doesn't work as an aphrodisiac with a 55 year old; the sigs you have appears to do a better job!
