BoxingScene.com has been advised that former welterweight champion Joshua Clottey (36-4, 22KOs) is back in New York and is working with Joe DeGuardia's Star Boxing. The Ghanan fighter is looking to return to the ring in the month of September.

Clottey has been inactive since his 2nd round knockout victory over Calvin Green in November 2011. Prior to that fight he had been inactive since his unanimous decision loss to Manny Pacquiao in March, 2010. He is looking to campaign in the junior middleweight division after spending most of his career at 147 pounds. [Click Here To Read More]

Good to see Clottey attempting to remain active, is a waste of talent if he quits so soon.

If fixing is a crime, what is not trying if not fixing? He should be banned!

Clottey gets hated on mainly to discredit Pacquiao's win. But this dude has legit defense, and he is difficult to fight unless you really come at him, he can take your Ponches lol.

Someone post up Clottey's interview this dude.

I actually like watching Clottey fight for some reason, its like a guilty pleasure he is boring as **** but its always funny listening to his interview because of his Ghanian accent but also because his interview is predictable he usually claims robbery.

What happened? Did he run out of money?

Lets see if that long layoff will let him come at 147 again
