Chris Jenkins cashed in on the chance to take part in Prizefighter - light-welterweights III by stopping Danny Connor at the York Hall in Bethnal Green.
The Welshman, fighting for the first time as a professional outside of his homeland, recorded points victories over Tony Owen and Eren Arif in the earlier rounds before needing only a round-and-a-half to triumph in the final.
A superb right hand put Connor down in the opener and although he bravely rose to his feet to make it through to the bell, the same shot soon had him down again.
