IMO they won't get return on their money sticking it on the undercard, but great news if true. But boxrec is still listing Cotto vs Molina at Barclay on 9/28.

Exactly. We know Floyd-Canelo will do their numbers regardless.

it won't get the viewership on it owns as it would being on the undercard; so if they actually put it there it will be to expose the winner to more viewers and build them up as a possilbe Floyd opponent in the future. seeing most likely the fight will not go to the cards you wil have alot of people talking about it more than the maybe 700-850k viewers it may get on regular showtime you are probaly doubling that on the undercard.

Some of you aren't thinking about the flipside. Placing them on the undercard gives them great exposure to more CASUAL fans that'll be watching. It'll be great for both fighters to participate in such a grand event. And there won't be any fight of this magnitude again in the near future. Great exposure for both Garcia and Matthysse.

Al Haymon is a smart businessman, he knows what he's doing. Mayweather, Garcia, and Matthysse are all managed by him.

i'll be absolutely shocked if that is the case. that's an expensive fight. there have been showcase bouts on undercards in the past, setting up a fight with the winner of the PPV [probably mayweather.] this is a bit different, though.

both guys are solid earners, and would command big bucks if they took this fight as a main event on showtime. will they take a paycut for this undercard exposure, and a shot at mayweather?

what's a couple million dollars on an undercard between friends, anyway? this is a $75 ppv. $75! to watch a fight on TV! they are going to sell a ton of these things. they can afford to pay a bit for this undercard. in addition, i know a lot of hardcore fight fans without a ton of money who much more readily pay for a ppv if the undercard is stacked.

it's easy to stream. this will get hardcore fans to buy. it might even entertain some causals, who are usually sleeping by the time the main event rolls around.

haymon is going to start double dipping more often, by the look of things. they wanted berto to fight floyd forever. he gets 30% of both sides of these cards when his fighters go head to head. one of his guys takes a step back, but the winner is tied up, and he's making good money regardless if his fighters are moving forward.

It is a lot of money to watch 1 fight on tv idiot stop pretending u don't understand. Man all your friends must think your a tool. Get over yourself and stop trying to make up for a little dink with your so called "money". Nobody cares and U know damn well people are talking about 70 being a lot in a relative way. Like 70 dollars is cheap for sneakers but not for a Popsicle. It's damn sure to much to watch Mayweather run around the ring like a ballerina all night. I wish I knew you in real life so I could play you for some money like everyone else who is currently pretending to be your friend right now.

Exactly nobody wants to pay money to watch Mayweather run all night anymore they're on to him. This card HAS to have a big co feature if they want any shot at all of breaking records.
