According to sources with knowledge of the details, former three division world champion Miguel Cotto (37-4, 30KOs) will return against Delvin Rodriguez (28-6-3, 16KOs) in a venue in Florida. The fight will be televised by HBO and co-promoted by Top Rank. This will be Cotto's first fight with Top Rank since his contract expired on December 31, 2011.

Cotto's last two fights, against Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Austin Trout, were co-promoted by Golden Boy Promotions. In both of those contests Cotto lost competitive twelve round decisions. A new addition to Cotto's team is veteran trainer Freddie Roach. Cotto was recently being trained by Cuban coach Pedro Diaz.
