I get the feeling that Maloney was in a last chance saloon situation and everything rested on Price. Eddie Hearn is taking over British boxing all the fighters are signing with him. Warren is in a a tough spot also. Who is going to want to sign with Maloney? He can't compete with Hearn.
Maloney recently divorced his wife of 15 years. That must have cost him a fortune and going through the expensive legal process is emotionally draining. On top of that Darren Sutherland committed suicide. Life is hitting him hard all over the place and his finances must have taken a hammering. His way out was earning through Price and getting him a world title shot and that has just gone up in smoke. I would not be surprised if we see him going bankrupt very soon,that is the way things seem to be working out for him.

I was at there. He looked a broken man as he left the ringside area. Price quit and as much as I LIKED the guy it was pretty cowardly of him. He just lost interest after Thompson taunted him.
