What a terrrible display by David Price

I never really bought into his hype train. But by God I thought he was better than THIS. Tony Thompson is a warrior, but I think the fight outcome was attributed more to Price's overzealousness and just plain ******y. What a shame. He is very unlikely not to rebound now.

Why did you think he was better? He has never shown any assets beyond power. He has been knocked out numerous times in the amateurs by smaller guys.

After the first Thompson fight it was clear Price was severely lacking inside and has an abysmal chin. This means he needed to stay outside and use his jab to dictate the fight like Klitschko does but he simply is not good enough to do this.

This is why I always felt Fury was far better than Price from the beginning. Fury has shown he has multiple assets to his game compared to Price who is quite literally a one trick pony.

Fighting Thompson again was the nail in the coffin though. Thompson is actually a very good (albeit underrated) boxer so even in bad condition he could always dismantle a limited guy like Price.

It was the most brain dead showing I've ever seen. Completely lost his head and has paid a very heavy price.

The popular guess would be he was trying way too hard to avenge the knockout loss, and paid the 'Price'. lol

I don't disagree with anything in this thread, but... why is it a new thread? Why hasn't it been posted in the existing sticky thread?

The British bookie interviewed before the fight said all the money was on Price even though Thompson was still the underdog and paid 3-1 he saw very little action.
