Ali or Ray Leonard would be my choice.

Mayweather is also great for occasions.

But norton-ali was a pretty big fight at the time.... It would be comparable to haye-fury,,, Not saying those guys are as good as ali-norton, but in terms of public interest
      Not really.

Norton was expected to be a rollover. Look at his resume prior to the fight.

There are no name wins, and a stoppage loss to a relative nobody.

Okay, you proved me wrong,,, memory must be slipping,, I always thought the first one was kinda big fight, but i guess it was more of a tune-up that turned into great fight that led to a trilogy.....

SRL would be up there for me but losing to duran in a huge fight, and the dubious draw in hearns rematch.... I still prefer Lewis

I even said those guys arent on the same level as ali-norton, just in terms of public interest..
Haye-fury is going to be a huge event this year,,, Just like ali-norton...

Dont get it twisted that im claiming fury-haye is the next fight of the century,,
Just stating that public interest is huge about that fight,,
Ali-Norton was the biggest fight of its era but still had the public interest, just like Haye-fury....
I was just trying to use a current example, so please just relax
ur wrong, it wasnt a big fight. ali was the very big favorite.

Isnt Haye a big favorite over fury

              Or Maidana over Morales.

              Or Lewis over Tyson....

              But all bring public interest....

Hell James toney vs Couture brought in big public interest...

But yes i was wrong about norton-ali 1

Who were there big fights vs other prime fighters....

Marciano best wins were vs guys in there 40's...

It would be like Holyfield beating foreman and holmes, and retiring undefeated
