Joe Calzaghe Reigned Undefeated for 15 Years. Marciano: 8 years

And he accomplished this without retirement breaks. Has there ever been a Boxing champion who reigned undefeated Uninterrupted for 15 straight years?

not a man alive could do that again, not only that, but he forced all american challengers to duck him and hide away in their country

he even made legends like hopkins nd roy jones straight out duck him by changing their terms at the last moment

How many of those years were as undisputed champs of their respective divisions?

Joe Calzaghe has always been very underrated outside the UK because he's not American and because he's white.

It was fun listening to Al Bernstein shat himself during the Showtime telecast when Joe gave Lacy a boxing lesson.

Bernstein had an unrealistically low opinion of Joe, and had been very confident Lacy would knock him out.

          spot on

these americans think even if their guys are challengers, champions should come to them and kiss their feet, someone joe gets the blame for guys like hopkins and other americans refusing to leave usa to fight him

there is a reason why so many americans ducked joe, the reason for that is because of lacy, hopkins nd jones, he humiliated them all

Lacy lol , Joe got inducted into the National Geographic list of protected species from an early age staying in a sheltered UK , best win was Kessler other than that his resume is weak , Bhop was robbed .

Another calzaghe thread today,,, Damn you would have thought he just announced his comeback with so many threads about him today....

Im american, And im a huge calzaghe fan.... Thought he might be a paper champ heading into the lacy fight but then saw the fight i believe vs brewster where joe gets knocked down but gets up and beats guy down in the 2nd.... After watching that i thought lacy could be in for a very long fight,, Yes Joe slaps alot but he stays busy and can make adjustments... Joe was a goon in his time..
If he was a chump people like undefeated prime lacy and prime undefeated two-time champ kessler would have beaten him...

Any guy that is undefeated champ and lineal champion in 2 divisions deserves some credit

I love how people try to pretend Hopkins and Jones were these unbeatable forces earlier in their career and beat only the greatest fighters.

I like how people discredit Joe's twenty title defenses reign but act like Hopkins was knocking out true contenders during his reign. I guess beaten up a small Tito is ATG worthy.

I wish guys would admit Joe was just better then them or atleast not discredit his resume. The guy was a good fighter who beat Bika, Hopkins, Jone, Lacy, Eubank, Reid, and Kesseler. All quality fighters.

Calzaghe was an amazing fighter that gets hated by the yanks because of what he did to RJJ, Lacy and Hopkins,

                    True HOF and ATG.
