  • Whatever happened to Walter Matthyse (Lucas brother)

Well? I haven't seen him for years. Did he quit boxing after his loses? I remember him in the Paul Williams fight and how he was a destructive puncher (well like his brother "the machine") but after that fight he seems to lost his way and then he disappeared. Is he part of his brothers camp now or what?

After p Williams he got destroyed by Kermit Cintron in 2 rounds in a very nasty knockout and disappeared. You should look at the ko on YouTube the guy looks like he's about to die

that left hand cintron landed during the final knockdown was hellacious. then he landed a right hand immediately after. im surprised matthysse got back up as quick as he did. he got stopped in all of his losses, and 4 in a row...probably a good indication to hang them up

He was never as good as his brother. Still looked like a tough guy who could have gotten further if he had a better team.

If you notice him and Lucas have the same style, he also was a destructive puncher and seemed pretty invincible until his first K.O loss and after which he was just a product of the K.O highlight reel. Live by the K.O (at least 90% of his wins by K.O) then you will die by the K.O, Lucas may really be next his style is reminiscent of his brothers, slow destructive puncher.
