Middleweight contender Martin Murray (25-1, 11KOs) warned Abel Sanchez, trainer of IBO/WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golobkin (27-0, 24KOs), that he presents a much tougher challenge than Golovkin's opponent from last Saturday night, Matthew Macklin. Golovkin stopped Macklin in three easy rounds.
Murray lost a very close decision to Sergio Martinez in April, a fight where Martinez was dropped and suffered numerous injuries that are going to keep him out until 2014.
Golovkin is interested in facing Murray on November 2. Murray has denied reports that he already received an offer for the contest, but he feels very confident that he can burst Sanchez's prediction of an easy KO win.
