  • Comments Thread For: Anderson Silva Wants Roy Jones Jr., Not GSP or Jon Jones

UFC champion Anderson Silva (33-4), 38-years-old, has made it know that he would rather face 44-year-old former champion Roy Jones Jr. (56-8, 40KOs) rather than an MMA super fight with either Georges St. Pierre and Jone Jones. This Saturday as the main event of UFC 162 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Silva faces undefeated Chris Weidman and many experts are tabbing the challenger to pull off the upset.

He dont want none of Jon jones. He only fights bums at 205. His boxing game is weak in the ring. Wouldn't even be shocked if Roy knocked him out.

Im a huge MMA fan, and would root for Silva, but even an old shot RJJ smokes him in boxing.

I don't think that's a good idea for Silva. His kicks, knees, and elbows save him a lot for what he's lacking with his fists. Roy would toy with him and put him down a few times. I don't think the KO would come cuz Roy has never really been that type of fighter.

Silva needs to shut the hell up.

If he thinks he's so good at boxing how about he takes on Golovkin?

He ain't nothin' but another moron who thinks he can box who works in MMA, 99% of "strikers" are garbage at true boxing.

Pretty silly to claim to want to face Roy in order to test yourself. And I don't consider him a PRIDE champion regardless of what statistics might say; he beat Henderson in the UFC, in a cage and under UFC rules.
