I noted a number times that I thought Paulie should take a job as a commentator, and then bam it happened. So far he's been my favorite. His scorecard is always kind weird though.

I also actually like Dibella when goes on Epix.

That's what a Play-by-Play announcer does... analysis is left to the color commentator(s).
A TV commentator needs to offer more. You have to assume people can also see!

He hit him on the face...or...Right cross on the nose. Get it?

If I could vote twice I would have voted Tarver. They best pick him up, I don't know what the whole deal is, I understand he got caught cheating but that doesn't take away from him as a commentator.

Even though he's biased, I still really like Jim Lampley. The perfect voice when calling a fight.

Paulie and Al give the best analysis if we're talking about who's best.

I like bernstein, malinaggi, atlas, roy jones, and kellerman. I think they're all great and steward was great as well. I think lampely has a good voice for boxing but he's gotten on my nerves past few years with some of his opinions and sometimes he tends to see a totally different fight from what's actually happening. Him and kellerman were discussing rigo on the fight game last week and they were talking about where rigo should be ranked on the p4p list. Lampely said rigo isn't a big draw and doesn't satisfy fans with his style but what the fk does that have to do with rigo's p4p ranking?

I can see you know little about the subject. The best commentator probably in boxing history is Col. Bob Sheridan. No contest. He can, and often has carried the whole broadcast by himself. And he's rarely out more than a round or two as to the winner. He's worked most of the Ali Tyson Holyfield fights,, Foreman fights etc.

I'll never forget seeing him working at the Holyfield-Tyson fight when Tyson bit Holyfield's ear... He was sitting in a chair in his shirtsleeves, and there was something going on between him and the man with him. It was only quite a while afterwards that I heard he'd had a bad heart attack the night before and had checked himself out of hospital to do this fight and he was hooked up to blood-pressure equipment. The guy with him was the doctor who was keeping watch on his BP............. He checked right back afterwards into the hospital and underwent coronary surgery. Extra-ordinary.

Glad you didn't have the colonel on there. He has been horrendous recently.

I don't really get on with Paulie's voice or personality, even if he does make some good points.

So in terms of overall flow and good points, decent voice to hear, Roy Jones Jnr. baby. Most definitely. Lennox is good too.

                      Paulie Maliggnagi without a doubt.

Larry Merchant and Maliggnagi are legends.
