I know race is a matter of issue. I see it everyday with the double standard that the whites have to live by. Sad part about what you said is it's not just this site it's america in general. I know people of all races and creeds who are great people but the media does a great job perpetuating negative stereos types about certain races and people. I would said hispanics and blacks get it the worse.

Stereotypes are easy to digest for a lot of people even though "race" in America is amazingly complex at times. There are a lot of people out there that are not interested in getting to know anyone better or get a better sense of their experience, and that's pretty sad really.

I have a lot of white friends, and to be honest most of them are incredibly clueless sometimes about the black experience in America.

You're asking a lot of this site when you ask people to differentiate between a buffoon like 50 and an urban environment/"******." You must understand that whites know very little about black folk or want to, well, unless it's something about somebody carrying a ball or bumping their music in a club. 50 clearly represents many stereotypes that have been heaped on the black community, so its easier for them to criticize him and dismiss the environment he came from.
